Your most recent post about nonviolent revolution is really interesting, but I just wanted to let you know that the apartheid-era government in South Africa would not be referred to as Dutch, they would be referred to as Afrikaans (though I’ve mostly just heard people refer to “the apartheid government” or maybe “the National Party”). The two cultures are related, but not the same.

Yeah, Afrikaans is correct. It was the product of the Dutch colonial administration, but it was politically distinct, and by mid-’60s was politically isolated from Europe. But, I couldn’t remember the term when I was typing up the post. Thanks.
