There are some REALLY well-done memoirs out about child soldiers – A Long Way Gone is one. Never Fall Down is a novelization so I’m not sure how accurate it is, but it draws from the experiences of a Cambodian survivor. I’m sure there are others that you might want to recommend to your other asker but those are two that came to my mind.
